I wanna swim in pink waters

Lake Retba or Lac Rose lies north of the Cap Vert peninsula of Senegal, north east of Dakar. It is so named for its pink waters, caused by some kinda micro-algae in the water. The lake is also known for its high salt content, which, like that of the Dead Sea allows people to float easily.

I think this has to be my next expedition! I mean, pink and you can float in it? Dreamy.

in the movie the count of monte cristo, when they’re finding the treasure of the lost count they find it in a cave not unlike this. the water looks so blue and inviting and lovely. i want to swim in a cave like this with you, water so blue, just me and you. and we’ll find/make treasures of our own.
